Speaker: Adam Ware, Bandy Heritage Center for Northwest Georgia
Learn more about the remarkable history that transformed Dalton and Northwest Georgia from the origin of beautiful chenille bedspreads and tufted carpets into a textile-manufacturing hub and what this has meant for the local economy.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Adam Ware is the director of the Bandy Heritage Center for Northwest Georgia at Dalton State College, where he holds the B.J. & Dicksie Bandy Chair in American History. He earned his doctorate in American Religious History and Museum Studies at Florida State University. His research as a historian of American material culture and collective memory has appeared in a number of peer-reviewed journals and as the historian and research librarian at the Orange County Regional History Center, he shared in the Leadership in History Award of Merit and the History in Progress Award from the American Association for State and Local History.
