The Southern Museum offers a unique and historic venue for rent at a competitive price. Our building has the ambiance and resources of a formal venue, within the atmosphere of a world-class museum. Whether you envision a gathering of 30 exuberant children, 50 of your closest friends, or 175 wedding guests, the Museum can accommodate your event. We are located in historic downtown Kennesaw, conveniently close to I-75 and Cobb Parkway.

The Southern Museum is the perfect backdrop for your special day. Accommodations range from a private ceremony to a reception for up to 175 people. The Museum has three unique spaces to rent: a beautiful outdoor garden, a theater in the heart of the Museum, and a customizable banquet hall.

Prices range from $150 to $300 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Or you can choose from multiple all-inclusive packages. An onsite event planner and free parking for event guests are always included. Outside catering and alcohol are allowed. Regardless of the size of your party or available budget, the Southern Museum can make your dream a reality.

Children's Parties

All Aboard For Fun

Surrounded by trains big and small, the Southern Museum is the perfect venue for a child’s party. Our classroom holds up to 50 people and rents for $75 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Rental rates include free admission for up to 25 guests (additional guests for a nominal fee). Outside food and drink are allowed. The space is adjacent to the Jolley Education Center where kids can play.
